Erica De la O

Erica De la OPilates Instructor

Erica De La O, was born in Los Angeles, California. She was first introduced to the Pilates Method by her classical ballet instructors. The Pilates method was a vehicle for strengthening, stabilizing, increasing flexibility, injury prevention and most importantly, body awareness.

Erica’s interest grew and she trained with Rael Isocowitz intensively in a six month program and a six month internship. Although Erica has used The Pilates Method as a vehicle to benefit her own career as a ballet dancer, her forte as a Pilates instructor focuses on the non-dancer. Erica is also certified in Gyrotonics ® and she incorporates the rich virtues of this method to benefit each session.

Erica brings to Fitness on Frankfort over 10 years of experience in both Mat and Apparatus Pilates Method. A session will complete a full body work out from head to toe with an emphasis on the individual’s goal and capabilities. Currently, Erica is a First Soloist with the professional ballet company of Kentucky, The Louisville Ballet, but at Fitness in Frankfort her goal is to teach others wellness and body awareness as a way of life.
